About the Event
HER- The resilient flower" is a powerful theatre-dance production that blends the classical Bharatanatyam with contemporary theatre. Inspired by Bertolt Brecht’s *The Good Person of Setzuan*, it follows a poor yet generous woman determined to build a life of dignity for herself and her unborn child. As she confronts societal judgment and moral ambiguity, the piece explores the fragility of goodness in a world prone to exploitation.
Two musicians—divine figures in search of the last good soul—hover above the scene, performing original music and engaging with the protagonist in a spiritual dialogue. A mysterious male narrator weaves the story together, guiding the audience through her journey. With original choreography, English dialogues, and Tamil lyrics, This piece aims to give voice to the unheard and to question the role of every being in contemporary society.
