Shanmugha Charanam

"Shanmugha Charanam” is a Thematic Margam Presentation in praise of Lord Muruga. Revered as the beautiful god, the narrator eagerly seeks his blessings. The story begins with the familiar scene of his birth. The emotion of Śṛṅgāra (romantic love) plays its role as the divine knot is tied with Devayanai, enriched by a touch of Adbhuta Rasa (wonder), as Muruga imparts the eternal sound “Om” to his father. His playful mischiefs—such as transforming into an old man to win Valli’s hand in marriage—provide delightful entertainment. The presentation culminates in the much-awaited episode of Sura Samhara, where he defeats the demon, ultimately transforming into the peacock and the rooster.
